Ok. So it’s time to get down to business.

I want to have a list in the right column where I can describe projects I’m working on and specific treasures I’m looking for (or “for which I’m looking”). I want them to link to a page that follows all my updates on that particular item/project. I also want a box where we can check things off once we’ve completed the project.  I need to learn how to do that…this will be a work in progress, but I’ll get there.

I have SO SO many fun ideas. I’ll list 3 off the top of my head:

1) Birdcage chandelier project from Restoration Hardware (~$4,000 in store. Let’s try it for…under $75?)

2) Celine leather dress — I would wear this thing every day. Do you have an outfit you sometimes put on that you just want to wear around the house? Sometimes I put on my old prom dress and cook dinner…just to feel fancy. Although, in retrospect, it didn’t look good in high school, but I assumed it was because I chose to pair it with…wait for it….CORN ROWS! But that’s neither here nor there…The point is that this dress would be a great upgrade that I would wear every chance I got.

I love the pockets and especially how tight it is across the chest. I think it reminds me of a lady warrior shield. I’m going to find a dress like this, even if I have to have it made.

***BREAKING NEWS! I just found a damn good replica for $41.29, which includes shipping from the UK. The same seller has listed 3 more sizes, if you too are interested. Click **here** for another good option. Contact me if you need help purchasing. I’ll keep you abreast of it’s ability to be worn everywhere.

3) Rug Rejuvenation Extravaganza

I inherited a fancy $1500 rug from a friend of mine. It originally was white. Then Spencer, the grouchy shih tzu, peed on it to punish us when we were out past 10:15 one night.

Needless to say, there are 3 “blemished” areas of the rug. I recently rented a Rug Doctor machine ($25 for 24 hours!) and spent 6 hours cleaning 3 of our rugs, including the questionable one. I thought I did a great job because EVERY bucket was full of black water. You have no idea how incredibly satisfying this is. So then I hang the rug outside for a few days and this is what happened:

What DID happen? Did I pull MORE dirt up and to the surface of the rug? Did I pull up dye? You can see on the edges where I didn’t clean. Either way, something needs to be done.  So, I will be hand dying this rug when I figure out how to do so. I’ll need suggestions.

Wish me luck.
